ProcureRank

For councils, government agencies and Australian businesses

Know how a supplier really performs before you award the contract.

Structured scores from verified Australian buyers who have actually engaged the supplier. No paid placements, and no referees chosen by the supplier.

  • Buyers verified by ABN
  • No score below 3 organisations
  • Member data stored in Sydney

Why buyers can trust it

Five rules we don’t bend

A benchmark is only worth something if nobody can game it. These rules are built into the platform, not just written in a policy.

Read the full methodology
  1. 01

    No pay-to-rank

Money never changes, hides or reorders a score or a review. There is no sponsored placement, and there never will be.

  2. 02

    Verified buyers only

Every organisation is checked against its ABN. Members join by invitation, from an approved work email domain.

  3. 03

    Reviewers stay anonymous

Members see the type of organisation, state, contract value band, procurement route and period. Never a name, an organisation or evidence.

  4. 04

    3 organisations minimum

No score is published until 3 separate buyer organisations have reviewed a supplier. Each organisation counts once, however many reviews it writes.

  5. 05

Moderated, with a right of reply

Every review is checked before it goes live, suppliers can respond publicly, and every moderation decision is logged.

What members see

From market sounding to the procurement file

Built around the three moments a buyer needs supplier evidence most.

01 / Rank

See who performs in your category, in your state

Every supplier with reviews from at least three buyer organisations is ranked on the criteria that matter in that market. Filter by the state the work was delivered in.

  • Category average shown alongside every score
  • Confidence grows with the number of buyers

02 / Check

Open a supplier’s record before you shortlist

Read what buyers like you experienced, with the contract context that makes it meaningful, and the supplier’s own response.

  • Scores for each criterion, not just an overall number
  • Anonymised reviews with value band, route and period

03 / Compare

Compare a shortlist and put it on file

Line up two to four suppliers criterion by criterion, then print it or save it as a PDF for your procurement file.

  • Strongest score on each criterion highlighted
  • Wording that keeps it separate from tender evaluation

Better than a referee call

A reference check tells you who the supplier’s friends are.

Suppliers nominate their happiest customers. ProcureRank asks every verified buyer who has engaged them, on the same criteria, and shows you the spread.

Probity questions

What procurement and probity teams ask us

If your question isn’t here, the methodology covers how every score is calculated.

Can we use ProcureRank scores to evaluate a tender?

Use it to inform market sounding, shortlisting and referee checks. It doesn’t replace your published evaluation criteria, and scores shouldn’t be imported into a tender evaluation. Treat it like any other due diligence source and note it on your procurement file.

Who can see a review I write?

Only signed-in members of verified buyer organisations. They see the type of organisation, the state, the contract value band, the procurement route and the period, but never your name, your organisation or any evidence you attach. The supplier can respond through our right of reply process.

Can a supplier pay to improve or remove a score?

No. Money never changes, hides or reorders a score or a review. Suppliers can reply to reviews and ask us to correct factual errors, and the same rules apply to every supplier.

How do you stop fake or biased reviews?

Organisations are verified against their ABN, and members join by invitation from an approved work email domain. Reviewers declare first-hand experience, no conflict of interest and no inducement. Every review is moderated before it’s published, each organisation counts as one voice, and no score appears until 3 organisations have reviewed the supplier.

What happens if a supplier disputes a review?

The supplier can reply publicly or ask us to check the review. A disputed review can be hidden while we investigate, and every moderation decision is recorded in an audit log.

Where is our data stored?

Member data and reviews are stored in Sydney, Australia, and sign-in emails are sent from Amazon’s Sydney region.

What does it cost?

Founding members use ProcureRank free during the pilot. Suppliers can never pay to change a ranking.
